Brussels, Dec 17-19

Greg and I took a spontaneous trip to Brussels this weekend. On day one we spent our time wandering the streets of Brussels searching for elusive Smurfs.

After a while we decided to jump on the metro and go see the famous Atomium. It was closed, but very pretty all lit up. We even had the brilliant idea to jump the fence and try to climb up part of it. Now why would a national monument be secured with an alarm?

The view of Brussels main square from a very cool pub. We did alot of sitting/talking/drinking.

We had an awesome hotel right downtown, with crazy mirrors everywhere. This is our reflection in the ceiling. It felt like a Britney Spears music video.

On day two we took a day trip to Bruges...

... and on the way back we stopped in Ghent.

Our last day in Brussels. The Manneken Pis.

I finally found Smurfs! Check out the street name...

The comic museum was a bit of a let down; that was the only Smurf present.

Off to Copenhagen tomorrow! Stay tuned...

Anna, the one of you guys in front of the monument doesn't look real! You superimposed yourselves on the pic didn't you...

Also, the photo of you two in the mirror is brilliant.

Love! Happy Christmas!

Looks like foggy times but I'm glad you got to see some of the sights & sounds! I popped over to Brussels on Monday, but had to be back soon (exam time...). Better luck in 2007! Happy holidays xxx
