Pillow Fights and Robots

Saturday April 4 was international Pillow Fight Day - this is the Amsterdam Chapter. Look close enough and you'll find me!

After the pillow carnage we jumped on a train and headed to Eindhoven for the STRP Festival, a festival on art and technology. Squarepusher and Aphex Twin performed, and during the gig they had big text bubbles in the crowd that were connected to a wireless keyboard which transmitted the text. I was inspired by my Scottish friends from the week before.



This guy was a solo performer with an electric guitar, a bunch of pedals, an amp, and a gas mask.

There were also screens with movies, videos and crazy music all night long. The highlight was a white, bright, smoke filled tent with strobe lights and distortion on loop. After a few minutes you trip out and can see with your eyes open what you normally see with your eyes closed.
